Burnett Dairy Cooperative Awards 2026 Scholarships to Local Students

GRANTSBURG, WI. — Burnett Dairy Cooperative is proud to announce the recipients of its 2026 Scholarship Program. The cooperative awarded scholarships to six outstanding high school seniors who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership, and a strong connection to agriculture and their communities.

Each year, the Burnett Dairy Cooperative Board of Directors approves scholarship funding to support graduating seniors who are children of member/owners, employees, or employees' children. The program reflects the cooperative’s ongoing commitment to education, agriculture, and investing in future generations.

“Farming, agriculture, and producing high-quality cheese are deeply rooted in who we are as a cooperative,” said CEO Matt Winsand. “We are honored to support these students as they pursue their future goals and careers.”

The 2026 Burnett Dairy Cooperative Scholarship recipients are:

  • Isaac Briggs — St. Croix Falls High School
    Attending Winona State University, pursuing Business Administration
  • Jeremiah Pond — Duluth Denfeld High School
    Attending University of Minnesota Duluth, pursuing Mechanical Engineering
  • Kylie Hansen — Grantsburg High School
    Attending University of Wisconsin–River Falls, pursuing Elementary Education
  • Lilly Peterson — Baldwin-Woodville High School
    Attending University of Minnesota Twin Cities, pursuing Animal Science and Agricultural Communications & Marketing
  • Milo Tricker — Grantsburg High School
    Attending University of Wisconsin–Stout, pursuing Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering
  • Taylor Asher — Elmwood High School
    Attending University of Wisconsin–La Crosse, pursuing Marketing

Applicants for the scholarship program were required to maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher, submit official transcripts, and complete an essay describing how agriculture has influenced their lives and future aspirations.

Burnett Dairy Cooperative congratulates all recipients and wishes them continued success in their educational journeys and future careers.
